Health compromising behaviors are behaviors that people practice that can put their current and future health in harm (Taylor, 2015, p.79). There are many important characteristics of health compromising behaviors. The first is the window of vulnerability in adolescence (Taylor, 2015, p.79). Adolescence tend to get the urge to want to try something even though it can put them at risk. They usually start to drink, smoke, use illicit drugs, and practicing unsafe sex (Taylor, 2015, p.79).
