Strategic Planning Report Strategic management is a way of being for any health care organization that wishes to grow and prosper in the current health care environment and in ones to come as it is an ever changing landscape. Along with defining strategic management the necessity for strategic management and the benefits that rest under its umbrella will be discussed.

Since strategic management creates a culture wherein employees feel empowered and there is consistent constant cycle of improvement and innovation, it will create a perpetual "way of being" that will continue to exist since strategic management is a lifestyle not just some quick hit fad. It is a culture that builds that activities of strategic management as embedded in the process of doing business in the organization. Strategic management also gives an organization a clear view of who they are and who they wish to be and as such generally keeps the organization focuses on what they do well instead of risking doing that which is outside of their scope.
