Simulation has a broad application potential in healthcare, classified in a few major directions, formed around different disciplines. Each direction may have its own sub-directions as well. Barjis 3 describes four main areas for

simulation in healthcare: clinical simulation, operational simulation, managerial simulation and educational simulation. Those areas are described in more detail in section two.
The objective of this paper is to show how simulation is applied to the structures and processes of healthcare, and how it can be used to improve patient care, safety and time. Through a systematic review of various articles on the topic, we explore simulation techniques, focusing on its use and applicability, especially in the optimization of healthcare processes.
