The health care reform act has created a negative impact in my small rural community. Many small businesses have decreased their employees causing a rise in the unemployment rate and poverty level. There have been many cuts to the hospital as well as a women’s health clinic. I know numerous individuals that do not have insurance because they are unable to afford the high premiums through Obama care which is more expensive than the fines they receive. There are limited resources for pregnant women in Coshocton County due to not having a labor and delivery unit.
