In U.S. the number was 76 and 81 and in Thailand only 71/79. (WHO 2014b.) I was thinking that is the life expectancy lower in America than in Finland because of that people do not get treatment as easily as in Finland? In Finland if people get`s sick with cancer, Kela pays the most part of the medicines. Without that, cancer medicines could cost thousands and thousands to people themselves. Apparently in America they don`t have that kind of benefits? So how on earth can people afford to treatments? Or are the salaries so much bigger there, that people can pay those kind of bills, or are the medicines much cheaper there? I didn`t find that out from my sources. And ofcourse when are talking about developing country, where is poverty, population is huge and number of diseases are big, life expectancy cannot be as high as in developed country. I for example do that. Maybe that`s why i thought that in U.S. health care would be much better and high-qualited than in Finland. Apparently there are a lot of high-quality specialists, but getting treatment is harder because of costs.
Comparing U.S. to Thailand the health care system seemd to have many similarities, which again differs from Finland`s. In both of those countries, people need to have an insurance or money to buy health services and medicines.
