On 10/16/17 I met Ms. Perez at the office of Dr. Malik wound specialist. This was an extremely long appointment and after 2 hours I had to leave to attend another appointment. Ms. Perez arrived with her husband transported by MMR on a stretcher. She reported she was having a lot of pain today. She reports that her right knee and the right arm are very tender and painful. She also reported having a tension headache. Her husband rubbed her leg and neck while we waited. The wound vacuum to the abdomen was discontinued. The wound is to an abdominal skinfold about 8 inches long. It is beefy red and has a new granulating tissue. Dr. Malik was happy with the progress of the wound. The dressing will be Bacitracin and gauze daily. The right arm weeps occasionally and is very fluid filled. The right leg was wrapped in gauze due to drainage. This will continue as needed. The IV antibiotics will continue for now. The next follow up appointment will be determined. …show more content…
Wolohan office for the orthopedic follow-up. After waiting several minutes for her to arrive I was called by Chesaning rehab. They are not sure when they would be able to pick her up and then they would drive about 30 to 45 minutes to reach the office. Ms. Perez is not able to sit in a wheelchair at this point due to the cellulites to her right leg and right arm along with the abdominal wound. We have opted to cancel the appointment and schedule a new one. Hopefully, she will be up to sitting in a wheelchair at that date. I have also obtained permission from adjuster Amanda Richardson to do the next progress report early on 10/26/17 due to a
