1. Federal Law- CRF is the administrative law published by federal agencies. Different sections of the CFR shape health care delivery and the use of information technology. CFR affects both federal, state, local government and private agencies management of the health care system. For example, CFR 42 Public Health and CFR 45 Public Welfare mainly affect the health care industry.

2. Federal Agency: The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) oversees several agencies to ensure the protection and well-being of the healthcare system. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is one of the many federal agencies under HHS. CMS manages the Medicare program partners with Medicaid agencies across the Country to deliver care

Local Agency- County Health Departments oversee health delivery and education at the grassroots level. The Maricopa County Department of Public Health oversees health education, promotion, and delivery at the grass root level in Maricopa County, Arizona.

PRIVATE:
1. Accrediting agency – There are several accrediting agencies for different health care delivery systems. An example of an accrediting agency is the Joint Commission (JCO). JCO provides accreditation to different types of health care systems such as hospitals, home health, nursing homes, behavioral health agencies, doctor's offices and many more.
2. Third party health insurer - These are private Managed Care Organizations and Preferred Provider Networks that provider health care coverage to private citizens. An example is Athena, United Health etc

3. Professional association or society - These are associations that seek to increase awareness and interest within a particular filed or industry. An example is the American Psychiatry Associations.
4. Quality Agency - There are several quality improvement organizations that seek to increase public awareness, education and standardize quality measures and improvement in the health care industry. An example of a quality improvement organization is Health Services Advisory Group
