My future career path is to become a Health care administrator also referred to as health medical and service managers. They are known to manage operations from departments, facilities, and hospitals while directing, planning, and providing other health services. Health care administrators are not hands on with patients but they help to make changes and apply those changes to have a success to make sure patients are provided with top notch health service. Many people who choose this career path help to regulate the laws and rules but to also make change to policies not just in hospitals or departments but also in food and those who provide health insurance such as Medicaid, and other health associations for example the American Hospital Association.

Managers who work in the top industries such as hospitals which are private, government agencies, and departments are some of the top areas that offer the top wages. Many health care service managers work 40 of more hours depending on the work setting. Being a health service manager who don’t make the money until you put in the work, most need 4- 6 years in education from an accredited college and or university. While having a bachelor’s degree in health care administration can help getting an entry level job in the field but to work your way up having a master’s degree and or certifications can benefit more in the future and or required in this continuing growing field. Many have degrees in health administration, public health, nursing, and even in business administration, because even running services for health care it still is a business. Many courses to achieve in having these degrees will to be to take an intro health administration course, human resource, management, and other courses that will provide you with all the skills needed to be successful in this career …show more content…
This career is very demanding since managers are the ones that manage the staff and are needed to make sure tasks are going smoothly. They are like gas in a vehicle, without gas you wouldn’t be able to start or move the vehicle to take you were you need to go and that’s what health care mangers do. The duties can be many things from traveling, conventions for health care managers on new things that can shape healthcare systems, meetings with staff and people above them, and many telephone calls. They improve healthcare services not just for patients but for the facility they work for, as an example a hospital has to abided by the laws and be up to date on health codes, if there are not they can be fined and that would not be good for business. It could reflect on how people see a health manager run their services. A manager has to know everything from A to Z, they need to believe that everyone that is a part of the staff is doing their part. Many managers have to train their employees to be professional and to tell them what they expect them to do on the job because if not many people will run over authority and the manager has to make sure there is organization.
