No, I currently do not have a job, but hopefully by junior year I will be able to get my work permit. I am, however, a member of Key Club, and hopefully this semester, CSF. Volunteer opportunities through organisations like Key Club, and CJSF/CSF have shown me to show compassion to others, something that made me fall in love with healthcare careers.
4. How would you rate your academic performance at Oakmont so far? How can the academy help you improve or continue your success?
So far, I would rate my academic performance at Oakmont a 9 out of 10. Through hard work and perseverance, I have performed well in my academics at Oakmont. Grades are important to me, and I work hard to maintain straight-A’s. However, I want to attend Health Academy to continuously challenge myself and broaden my knowledge in math and science. This being said, all the critique I get I take to heart and it pushes me to work even harder. The academy not only offers an excellent medical program, but also a perspective of the real world beyond high school. What do you want to do after high school? If college, why and where?
After high school, I plan on attending college to major in a STEM field. There are many subjects I want to explore, including chemical engineering, which intertwines with my interests in dermatology and pediatrics. Sometime after college, I hope to travel abroad and work with humanitarian organizations and bring doctors and nurses and educators to underserved populations around the world.
