Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, North Carolina State University is a public research university. As one of the corners that make up The Triangle, (along with Duke University in Durham, University in North Carolina in Chapel Hill), this urban college features a campus that's 107,000 square acres. Established in 1887, it was a land-grant college which was only open to white students.
