He Mandu Play Analysis

He Mandu
After listening to both versions of the song, I prefer to listen to the second version. The first version it seems out of balance in how everyone was singing. It seemed that the singers on the right side, specifically the one in the red, was doing the most singing. While the left singers to me did not feel as if they were singing as much. I determined this by their gestures and movement of their lips. This is most likely because classical singers are divided into different voice types, based primarily on their natural pitch range. The women on the right lead while the others did the bass or the background portion of the song. I like the second version because of the ongoing animation during the song, and it fits very well with the song. This version of the song also has instrument as well, making it much more lively. This song wakes me up. I also like the lead female voice a lot as well. There seems= to be only two singers, with the female lead, and the background chorus.

This song allows me to visualize the flood that happened and see the devastation that it caused. "When it thunders and lightnin' and the wing begins to blow" Two lines in the lyrics that got to me was, "There's thousands of people ain't got no place to go", and "Cause my house fell down and I can't live there no more." Her voice is very emotional and genuine. You can feel the sorrow that she is trying to express. I prefer the Kenny Wayne version for general listening as if I would add it to my music playlist besides the Bessie Smith version. I like the guitar and how lively the song sounds. However, the Bessie Smith version is a more accurate depiction of what blues is about and has more genuine

The play, Yankee Tavern, by Steven Dietz, published by Dramatists Play Service Inc, was unquestionably some food for thought. All throughout the storyline, numerous conspiracies ranging from starbucks being a cult in a cup to man landing on the moon were woven between the four main characters, Adam, Janet, Ray and Palmer. That being said, perhaps the most prominent of all, were the one’s related to the terrorist attack on the United States on September 11, 2001. Needless to say, that was probably a touchy subject to write so in detailed about. Nonetheless, Dietz crafted the plotline in a very elegant and perhaps informative manner.…

On October 28, 2017, I attended Desert Hot Springs High School’s theatrical performance, Love Sick, a play produced by John Cariani. Mr. Landmann is the head director of the theater department at DHSHS and was able to execute a great show with the help of his students: Matilde Alejandro, Megan Johnson, Bethany Navarro, Luis Salazar, Nathaniel Esparza, Natalia Martinez, Angel Limas, Esmeralda Hernandez, Esmeralda Salazar, Nicholas Jacob Gamboa, Baylee Bryant, Jonathan Calderon, Erika Aleman, Jesus Hernandez, Austin Aguirre, Edna Escobedo, Anjali Singh, Angel Ramirez, Elijah Cross, Michelle Lopez, Alondra Campos, Sadie Cunningham, Joseph Arisco, Maya Souza, Efrain Flores, Kimberly Solano, and Zauriah Cotton. Love/Sick is a play that contains lovers and dreamers that look into the agony and the happiness that comes with being in love and in relationships. To begin with, the plot of the play was very straightforward and unmissable. It outlined all the effects, good and bad, that comes with being in a relationship as well as depicting all the dilemmas.…

Joseph Cornell was an artist known for his shadow box art. He kept his interests separate and together by creating these boxes which also reflected the small wooden house in which he lived. The script is made of compartments rather than having one event trigger another. A character may come into a scene or Cornell may move out of a scene and the scene completely changes. It is not always clear if the stage directions are to only be followed or if some are to be read.…

Being the director of “See How They Run” showed me the many characteristics a director must have in mind while thinking of how to present the play. One must have in mind the time and place the play is set in, the main focus and goal of the play, the themes and symbols that are present, and the different ways one can send all of those ideas and concepts to the audience. Summary See How They Run is situated at England in the 1940’s during WWII.…

I have no musical back ground at all, I just learned the word timbre so I am going to approach this from a listener points of view, as in a untrained ear so to speak. I listen to both songs three times while following the lyrics, and each time I notice something slightly different. The lyrics showed the content of the song in a social sense. But the timbre showed the emotional side that the lyrics alluded to. There is a progression of emotional that leads to a climax at the end that leaves the me the listener wondering what more about the culture and the tragic daily events that I have never known.…

Gone Home is a narrative exploration game by the company Fullbright that stars Kaitlin Greenbriar returning to her family home after being overseas. Gone Home is often questioned on the complexity of its game play, and is often thought to be more of an interactive story, however it does fulfill the requirements of a game and I will be discussing various game play mechanics in Gone Home such as the different objects and their attributes, rules for game play and the overall design that help to support the narrative, as well as how all of this is used to create an effective story and why this is the best medium for such a story. I will start by giving the briefest of summaries; the game opens with Kaitlin, who we control in a first person perspective, returning home to a locked house all set in the 90s Their is a note left…
