Hazing has existed through most history as a rite of passage for the inexperienced to prove their worth to their peers. Though the most well known cases of hazing occurred on college campuses, this problem is present in elementary schools as well as some work places. Hazing is incredibly dangerous, and has led to several deaths. Though hazing is illegal in forty-four states, it is still prevalent in American universities, therefor further action must be taken to prevent this issue. In any environment where hazing occurs, there is an extreme power misbalance.
