• Implement precautions for the employees protection and conduct an assessment of the risk to the employees’ health;
• Prevent exposure to chromium, where prevention cannot be reasonably be done, adequately control the exposure;
• To reduce exposure to airborne chromium and its compounds so far as reasonably practicable to below the workplace exposure limits assigned for chromium compounds ( 0.05 Mg/m3 averaged over an 8-hour period);
• Efficiently maintain all fumes and dust in the workplace;
• Provide employees with tight fit respirators;
• Arrange health checks that are necessary;
• Train, inform, and instruct all employees who are exposed to chromium.
