Hazardous Drivers Research Paper

Drivers today can be very hazardous on the road with all of the distractions that are in this world. A lot of the distractions that cause reckless driving are in the car itself. Other distractions can be self consumed. Three distractions that stand out the most are the radio, alcohol and phones. They are major distractions that can cause hazardous driving which could lead to fatalities. Those three distractions can be very hazardous because they take the drivers focus off of the road, take their minds off of the road and can also cause them to take their hands off of the steering wheel. Vehicles nowaday have voice recognition so all they have to do is talk to it like “hey siri” or whatever they have to say to activate the recognition. A driver can tell “siri” to turn on the radio and go to another channel or whatever they want it to do. The voice recognition is great because it keeps the drivers hands on the wheel, and focus on the road causing less distractions and better concentration. Furthermore, vehicles today come with sensors on the outside of the car. The sensors can give a notification that the driver is about to cross a lane if they are not paying attention. There are also sensors on the front and back that give warnings if you get to close to an object. Some vehicles will brake the car for the driver if the driver is not able to brake fast enough. Although there are many accessories in vehicles now to create a safer driving environment, some people still choose not to use them and keep doing their dangerous habits. Because of radios, alcohol and cell phones, today's drivers have dangerous driving habits. Continuing with dangerous driving habits can lead to hazardous situations. Drivers who want want to use alcohol and cell phones while driving need to realize that they can put themselves in hazardous situations. The best way to stop these habits is to use hand free devices, get a designated driver or do not drink and
