Hayley's Story: A Short Story

Exactly! What's wrong with these writers because it literally just seems crazy to me. I would immensely enjoy hearing what they would have to say about Hayley's characterization. I wonder if Hayley is based off of someone in real life? Tragic if so. Although Elijah would rather lose his life than to ever speak those words to Hayley. Hayley will never be a “good” person. None of them are “good” people but they all have some redeeming qualities. Even if the writers were to flip the script and actually make Hayley own her shit and for Elijah or Klaus call her out I still wouldn’t like her. I’d be in the background yelling “Fake! Goodbye have a nice night…off of my TV screen.”
Also, it’s like the writers don’t know what being in a relationship consist of. Aren’t some or most of them married? I’m sure they didn’t marry that person without knowing an inch of who they are though. It consists of actually having a conversation that doesn’t involve someone’s

Hayley is the youngest out of the group minus Hope and she doesn’t have years’ worth of experience and knowledge like the Mikaelson’s. So for them to even permit her to having an opinion on how to conduct business when they’ve been doing that centuries before she was even born is utterly ridiculous. After having these conversations with you and a few other people I will always view Hayley as a child whose involved herself into grown folk business and constantly misbehaves but because she’s a child she always gets a pass. How is Elijah even okay with dating someone who doesn’t act like a mature young lady but a little girl who needs to be put on time out? I wouldn’t be alright dating someone – if I were Elijah’s age – who is 25 years old and doesn’t know how to use her brain and common sense. The problem for me isn’t even the age it’s the fact that she’s 25 and acts like she’s mentally

Favorite parts: My favorite parts were actually Clay’s narrative. I found it unique, from a storytelling perspective, to have Hannah’s story portrayed in the context of Clay’s. Sometimes, it would seem that the lines would blur about whose story this actually was; in the end it is Clay’s. Clay becomes so engulfed in Hannah’s story, this girl that he had an emotional attachment to, who is now gone. The prime example of Clay’s immersion in Hannah’s world comes when Clay is at Monet’s, a favorite hangout place of Hannah’s.…

In the excerpt written by Arthur Anderson, he explains a theory derived from the way media presents reality television shows such as Cops. This theory is essentially that producers of reality television have the power to edit the reality we see and do so by using coding to promote practices that would not be typically deemed as typical, ethical, or necessary. He was able to propose this theory by analyzing the different ways in which the producers edited the content, what type of content they displayed, the narrative told, and the codes that were used throughout the broadcasts. His theory, I believe, supports a lot of the ideas that are thrust upon us through reality television. Thus, I will first state a summary of his analysis.…

Healthy teenage relationships Do you really believe our Australian teenagers should be receiving misguided information through TV shows about unhealthy romantic relationships? Dear Home and Away producers, children and teens are watching TV shows which causes them to believe that real-life relationships are exactly the same as what the media portrays them to be. But in reality, are they? TV shows and popular media often give the wrong idea about romantic relationships, for example, in Life with Boys,'the characters often date for reputation, meaning they want to look good and the boy always has to ask the girl out. Also, the relationships are only heterosexual.…
