Hawai I Personal Statement

Living in Hawai’i has been influential in the development of my being and has brought many obstacles that I am able to overcome. Although my life here has been significant in the advancement of these crucial years, I want to pursue on and further widen my philosophy elsewhere. Don’t get me wrong, Hawai’i is a marvelous place filled with kind hearted people, but the lack of opportunities disenchant me and deprive me of a life full of prosperity. This alluring paradise I call home will forever remind me of all the astonishing things this Island has taught me, but I am not satisfied and therefore seek higher education. Pursuing a higher education, such as a college will enable me to open new doors and experience different fields that college offers, recognizing my highest potential. With higher education comes exceeding job opportunities, which increases earning potential and the possibilities of employment in a career. All these support the idea to achieve higher quality of life for me and my future family. College will teach me the discipline and the importance of independence. …show more content…
I’m curious not only to investigate on why people behave the way they do; rather, I subconsciously wanted to understand myself. I am quite interested in learning how personality forms, how development occurs, and how factors such as society and culture impact behavior. Helping me gain a deeper understanding of many influences that have impacted my own life. In addition to satisfying my own interest in human nature, understanding these behaviors is a profitable skill in numerous job settings.
