Many people underestimate the importance of having a balanced diet and instead go follow the newest diet fad to try to lose weight. There is a percentage of 68.8 adults that are consider overweight or obese, which leads to heart problems, diabetes and even some cancer. Having a balanced diet isn’t as hard as it seems and can make you feel better about how you look and how you feel in the inside. Many people tend to stay away from fruits and vegetables because they don’t taste as well as junk food and there’s a reason it’s called junk food. Basically it’s junk for your body and you’re not fueling your body with the nutrients it need, yet it is made to be addicting and that’s why we can’t stop eating it. There is milk, cheese, yogurt and dairy desserts to help you impact your overall health. Milk helps you keep your bones strong, boost immunity, lower blood pressure, reduces risk of some cancers, helps you maintain weight and milk also has a high quality protein. Who knew that a glass of milk can do all that, it’s very impressive really and plus side is it taste pretty darn good as well. Interesting enough, but not surprising, the USDA recommends that adults consume three servings of milk a day, most adults I know don’t even drink one glass a day. This is why it’s very important to know about your food and to know how much to eat or drink a day, instead most people like to sip on Coca Cola, Sprit, sugary juices and so on. Soda can cause weight gain, too much sugar can turn to fat in liver, increases belly fat, makes it hard to maintain weight and overall just no nutrients.
