Having A False Identity

Improved Essays
I think having a false identity is not acceptable because you can hurt yourself and others in the process. Being able to have a different identity might make you turn away from who you really are. For example, some people might have disabilities and they are discouraged by it. This may cause them to try and fake their identity to make people think differently about them. “Online identity offers potential social benefits to those with physical or sensory disabilities, because others cannot see them. These users can free themselves from their disabilities by creating online personas that are not disabled” (Online identity paragraph 6). What I found surprising and disturbing at the same time was a quote from Lieutenant Nun on chapter four, “I ran my sword point through Reyes’ friend-where, I cannot say-and down he went. And so with blood drawn on both side...” (14). I chose this quote because I would never have imagined she could kill someone in action and this is also where she starts to run away from her troubles from the law. Which she got charged with murder. But for Catalina, she has to set aside her feminism and be more masculine and to prove that she can do anything since she does not want to show any doubts about her real identity.…
