/tempmute iFishy 15m Staff Impersonation

Staff Impersonation consists of players acting like they are staff to get respect or maybe trying to get privileges like staff. First, I would temp-mute the impersonator for 15 minutes, and if further action is required, then Enforcer or higher can change the punishment to a perm-mute.

Mute Evasion:

Required Permissions:

Manager +

Commands:

/tempmute {player} 15m Mute Evasion

Example:

A player is messaging people to talk to them, like say they message me saying the mute was a false mute and I am a manager, I would screenshot, then temp-mute them.

/tempmute iFishy 15m Mute Evasion

Mute evasion consists of bypassing a player’s mute, for example messaging players stuff that you would have said in-game. If a player finds a way to talk in chat while muted, they will get a punishment. That punishment that they receive is handed out by a Manager or higher, no rank lower or you will get an instant demote with no exceptions at all.

An eye for an eye; this is a type of retributive justice which considers punishment to be the best response to crime. This is an extreme example of how punishments use to be determined; it has helped set the stage for how retribution is established today. We use the principle “Let the punishment fit the crime”; facts and evidence are presented to aid a jury and judge in this decision making process. This is widely accepted concept, but the question that we have to stop and think about is, when does punishment go too far?…

In Two Cultures of Punishment by Joshua Kleinfield (2016), the Kleinfield compares how American and European nations differ in moral visions when inflicting punishment upon the offender. In America, crimes that are committed are viewed as morally wrong, not just to the victim, but to the entire society . In contrast, the legal system in Europe believes that the crime itself is separate from the offender in which that all human beings are essentially good. Furthermore, Kleinfield suggests that hard treatment and control are both significant in terms of how punishment is defined and function. Kleinfield, then, explains how human beings decides on the foundations of rights when they choose to punish.…

Higher class individuals were sentenced to less extreme punishments, such as loss of status, fines, banishment, or a private execution; however, executions were only sentenced to them for severe and less common crimes. On the other side, lower class individuals were often punished with public beatings and executions. These sentences were punishments by both embarrassment and torture (Black 897). The standard public punishments were flogging, decapitation, crucifixion, and burning. For especially offensive crimes, the criminal would be sewn into a sack with a live snake, rooster, dog and monkey and then thrown into the ocean (Aldrete).…
