the Belvedere is also known as the model house because of its beauty and its 22 rooms. Also just a little structure has been changed on the inside so the building does not fall apart or collapse. The main rooms and the guest rooms have all been restored back to the 1850s. With all sorts of really nice authentic furniture and lots of nice accessories of that time period. They have six overnight guest rooms that are on the second and third floors. There are also few modern things added to each room like a proper toilet, bath and phones. Georgie Geyer, a writer for the Chicago daily news once told about spending a haunted night In the Belvedere. She said that she carefully locked in “housewifely manner”. Only to later see them flapping open, letting in the cold wind.
