Not everyone in this book lead a good life. They were all terrified and traumatized after the shooting. The students didn’t want to go back to scool, but eventually did because they knew they had to. The students who survived the shooting were confused and wanted answers. Either answers as to why their names were on the list, or why Nick would want to kill all those students. Every student basically lived in tragedy after that. No one would communicate with Val because she was the girlfriend of the shooter. The students all thought Val had something to do with the “plan” as well. Everyone turned on Val. She couldn’t be trusted. What if she really was part of the plan, but lied to authority about everything? No one could trust her. Val lead a life of hatred and she also found out that her dad had an affair with some woman from the office at work. She was heartbroken and so was her mother, but everything worked out in the end. The family wouldn’t be the same, but they had to accept what happened and get over it. Val’s mothers found a new guy and she was planning on marrying him. Val’s fater was happy with the woman from the office. They were all happy after a while and Val’s mother couldn’t care less about what happened with Val’s father.
