Whether it’s a hateful anonymous note or ignoring someone to feel a surge of power of them; like love everyone has a way to express this powerful feeling. When two people develop hate for each other their hearts depart into a darker place, sending an emotional overdrive to the control center of the brain. Allowing the link of hormones between the two haters to release, “hating someone is similar to the feeling of aggressiveness when the usage of cocaine comes to play,” (Meyer). Love is considered one of the greatest paradoxes in Christian life. Is it for good or for ill we offer our hearts to one another? As C.S. Lewis notes in The Four Loves, Saint John teaches that “God is love,” thus to love is to experience a more intimate relationship with God. The Theme Of Romeo and Juliet Love and hate are both strong passions controlled by different motives but can lead to similar side effects. It is love that sends Romeo into the courtyard of his enemy to see Juliet just before the oncoming dawn, it is the powerful loathing of the Montagues that controls Tybalt in his murderous rage. Both feelings are completely opposite, and can be completely blinding, and completely consuming. These emotions, and some in between, course through the characters of Shakespeare’s work Romeo and Juliet. It is a love that is rooted as deeply as the hate, this hate is so strong, that it goes back generations between the Montagues and the Capulets, but the love is strong enough to conquer it.…
