The violence tends to send a message to a minority group within a community and the liberals call it “message crimes.” They also want the law extended for homosexuals because they target hate crimes. The Law would protect heterosexual, bisexuals and homosexuals and people of all sexual orientations. They also state that increased federal involvement in hate crime prosecution would be very beneficial. Hate crime legislation would in no way limit freedom of speech. In order for a hate crime legislation to be applied in Pacific cases, a criminal act must first be committed. Preaching hatred against a particular group of people such as Jews, African Americans, women, gays, lesbians, or its cetera or stating that God hates a specific group of people have always been protected from forms of speech. Such speech is no way in any form criminal. The legislation will also protect women, transgender persons, transsexuals, and the disabled.
