On the stories Hatchet, Dragonwings, and Eleven all faced life - changing events. For example, Brian feels scared, Moon Shadow feels curious, and Rachael feels sad.

On the story Hatchet, Brian was worried that they wouldn’t rescue him. For example, he was getting worried because it was getting dark and cold. On paragraph 2, it says “Brian frowned. Was it the first day or the second day?”. Next, on the story Dragonwings, Moon Shadow is curious about the Golden Mountain. Moon Shadow is curious of the Golden Mountain because on paragraph 1, it says that Moon Shadow always wanted to to know about the Golden Mountain but his mother never wanted to talk about it. It gave a greater number of detail in the story to support whoever reads the book to more competently understand the story.
