Hatchet Movie Vs Book

Decent Essays
The book Hatchet told a better version of the story because it gives full detail of what Brian´s life was like and how he got stuck in the woods. The movie focused on a specific detail which was his mom and the affair. The book gives a foreshadowing image on his before and after life, while the movie told a story more of his before life and what was going on before the plane crash.,The book hatchet told a better story in this case..

The book hatchet is a example of foreshadowing.I know this because the book for example says that he throws the hatchet after being attacked by an animal and sees that it makes sparks. After he tries a few times he eventually makes a fire. Now he has fire to make food and to stay warm.

The movie is an example

I believe that “Hatchet” does a better job telling the story more than ¨A cry in the Wild. I believe this because, they had more imagination to the book more that the movie. They had a moose in the book, the part where the blond haired man kissed Brian’s mom in the wagon. Brian had a friend named “Terry”. When Brian and Terry went to the park to play a pretend game like they were lost.…

Could last 54 days in the canadian wilderness by yourself and only with a hatchet and torn windbreaker? In the book Hatchet by Gary paulsen brian is in a traumatizing plane crash and is in the canadian wilderness for 54 days. I think it would be hard because brian had never been alone in the middle of nowhere never even hunted and having to learn or you starve. It would be hard but he did it and he learned something that can help him in the future anytime. Brain has never done anything like this and he was really good at hunting and fishing so he would have something to eat and he made his own shelter.…

I think that Hatchet does a better job of telling the story. I believe this because. in the book the bear was eating berries and left Brain alone. It stated in the book chapter 7 that “The bear made no move to hurt you, to threaten you. It stood to see you better, study you, then when on its way eating berries.”…

The book Hatchet does a better job at explaining the story than the movie A Cry In The Wild. First, the book has way better imagery. For Example. the book talks about a great juicy meaningful kiss and in the movie all the man and Brian’s mom does is kiss each others neck.…

I believe that Hatchet doses a better job of telling the story. I believe this because, Hatchet gives more details than the movie “A Cry In The Wild” does. In Hatchet he went to sleep like three times after the plane had crashed in the pound. But in the movie he just went to sleep ones. Also in the novel Brien called the barriers gut barriers, but in the movie he called them throw-up barriers.…

I believe that Hatchet does a better job of telling the story. I believe this because Hatchet gives us more details than the movie. In the movie “A Cry in the wild” they change more things and it is not very similar to the book. In the book it says that Brian was in the plane and all the sudden he smelt something and did not understand then Brian knew what it was it the pilot passing gas. In the movie the only thing that the pilot did was clutched his shoulder but did not pass gas.…

The book Hatchet does a better job of telling the novel Hatchet than the movie “A Cry In The Wild”. One example of foreshadowing is when the hatchet hit upside the rock and made a spark and help give an image of what he needed to make the fire. Due to this in the book it explained how the hatchet hit the rock and helped him make the fire. On the other hand, in the movie, it did not say why it made it help him make the fire it just showed the Hatchet hitting the rock and him making the fire with it. I believe this because the book gave more details and said more about what happened.…

Hatchet Vs. A Cry In The Wild Hatchet does a better job of telling the story. This is because the amount of time spent at the lake and has more details and shows that Brian can get hurt and isn’t superhuman. Hatchet has imagery like the roaring plane and others which aren't quite as good as the ones you see in the movie. The book’s foreshadowing isn't quite as good as the films either.…

My example of foreshadowing is in the movie Star Wars Return of the Jedi. Luke heads to the planet of Dagobah searching for a wise Jedi master, named Yoda. Yoda trains Luke to become a great and powerful Jedi Knight, but during Luke’s training, Luke gets a vision that Han Solo and Princess Leia are in trouble with the Empire. So Luke tells master Yoda that he has to go save his friends from the empire and that he will come back again to finish his training. Luke starts packing up his things when Yoda and the spirit of Obi Wan Kenobi try to convince Luke to stay and finish his training, and that he they don’t forsure know that Han and Leia are in danger.…

After reading Hatchet and watching A Cry in The Wild I think that A Cry in The Wild did a better job of imagery and foreshadowing what happened to the main character Brian in both of the adventures. And in both of them, they have a lot of similarities but very little differences. One of the similarities is that both of the pilots had a heart attack. Except that they died in different ways. In the movie the pilot just yelled and died, and in the book, the pilot yelled about his chest and passed away.…

To get the ball rolling In my opinion Hatchet does a great job of using imagery and foreshadowing then “A Cry in the Wild”. I believe that because in Hatchet when Brian Robinson was fighting the enormous moose it said about all the injuries the cuts, scrapes, wounds and scars. Think about how the moose with the caboose knocked him into the nasty, slimy, swampy, water, and after all of that Brian still was strong enough to pray the tornado will hit the moose caboose. The next way is, I practically didn’t notice when Brian threw the hatchet at the gnarly, dirty, porcupine and missed, then hit the rock I hardly noticed the sparks.…

To begin with, Hatchet explains the story more thoroughly because it has additional details. One important detail used in both, the manuscript and the film, is when the tornado hit. In the book, the cyclone was more enhanced in detail and sounded like an F3 and with elaborate details such as, “the gusts whipped his hair and tore his shelter to bits.” In the movie, the tornado looked like it was just a slight gale was hardly enough wind to blow his hair. Even though Hatchet described the story better, I feel as though “A Cry in the Wild” does allow viewers to actually see and hear the character’s actions.…

In my opinion, the movie, “‘A cry in the Wild’’ does a better job of explaining the story than the book, Hatchet. It helps with foreshadowing and imagery. Also, the movie does a way better job because, instead of having to imagine what the story looks like, you can see and hear what is going on with Brian and the pilot. It could make the book a whole lot more interesting if it had pictures, or drawings. For example, they could have had a picture of Brian and the plane, or him catching some fish.…
