Hatchery Fish Research Paper

Is being endangered becoming a new trend? Now in day’s many animals are becoming extinct due to the fact that the animals are killing each other in order to survive. Hatchery fish have been in the endangered species list because there has been a lot of predators that need the fish to survive or else they will starve. Hatcheries are doing what they can, especially the Salmon River Fish Hatchery they raise and release different type of fish such as steelhead, chinook salmon, coho salmon, brown trout, and landlocked salmon. The hatchery releases over one million pounds of fish in more than 1,200 public streams, ponds, rivers, and lakes as well across the state. They have different types of differences such as the wild origin fish hunting for their food and the hatchery have food given to them when it is feeding time, but the wild fish have to risk their life because not all of them survive when it comes to being from the wild. Many would say that the life of a wild origin fish is more difficult than the original hatchery fish in which case is true because the hatchery fish have a very hard time adapting like the origin wild fish as Peter Moyle had said earlier. The hatchery fish can be more violent because of the conditions they live in, once they begin to grow the fish take up more space in the hatchery and begin to react to the little amount of space they have so that is when they become violent because they are overwhelmed and have little to no space to move. In another case the wild origin fish are not as violent because they have plenty of space in the rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes where they can be around without a problem.
