Hassan Vs. Piggy Analysis

Improved Essays
When I was writing my paper I need to know what I’m doing for it so I chose the topic Hassan vs. Piggy because both of them are very similar but they are different in both books so I thought about some good main topic for Hassan and Piggy. When I was thinking about some main ideas about both characters and I thought that some topics don't make sense with both of them so I was stuck with brainstorming. Then when I started my rough draft I was having trouble on how to start my Introduction because I didn’t know what to talk about for both books. My weakness when writing this paper are that I forgot to put some “s”, “ed” to some words, I also have trouble when I think of something good but I can’t write it down because I don’t how to write it

He is a leader, He is relentless. He is thoughtful. That is why I admire Piggy the most.…

Writing has always been one of the most difficult skills that I have been learning through my college career, but it has also been the most important skill because unlike other skills writing affects my works across all courses or subjects. Writing has also helped me to get in to UMD, receive scholarships, and be accepted in research programs. Therefore, all the effort that I have made to improve my writing skill is worth it. From experience, writing is not like other skills that one can learn overnight, for me, writing skill is very slow progress and requires a lot of writing and reading; this is what I got from this class. In this class, my writing has advanced because I am reading more, practicing more, and writing more.…

When I began this class, it had been over ten years since I had taken English 111, so I was a little apprehensive about whether I would be able to remember everything from that long ago and be successful in this class. The first paper that I was tasked to write was a literary analysis of “Little Things” by Raymond Carver. I was excited about this assignment in the beginning because, as an avid reader, I really enjoy critically looking at what I think the author is trying to say to me through their story. I love analyzing my favorite books and do it quite often, much to my husband’s dismay, I’m sure, because he’s probably tired of listening to me talk about books endlessly by now. However, I soon found that one of my problems with writing is that I seem to have a hard time expressing exactly what I want to say.…

To be completely honest I have mixed feelings about writing and I don’t really have any memorable experiences that made me feel this way, it is just the experiences that I have had with the subject while trying to apply it. I struggle with what to write down mostly and creativity in general and I don’t really excel at any part of it. If I were to say I “excel” at anything it would be revising my work and adding to it. At the end of the semester I hope that I have relearned some key writing elements that lack of practice has caused me to lose.…
