• The names of the speakers were Kelly Hall, John Amalfi, Cody McLennan, and Jared Brown. All four speakers are employees of Harvey Builders; Mr. Hall is the Vice President, Mr. Amalfi is the Senior Superintendent, Mr. McLennan is the Project Manager, and Mr. Jared Brown is the Assistant Project Manager. Harvey was founded in 1957 in Houston, TX, and currently is in its 60th anniversary of being in business. Harvey has a total of about 700 employees with many offices around the country, having some located in San Antonio, Auston, Houston, and Washington D.C. Mr. Hall wore khaki slacks with a light pink long sleeve shirt and with a blazer. Mr. Amalfi wore light denim jeans with a light blue long sleeve shirt. On one foot, he wore a medical boot as if he had injured his foot and on the other foot he wore a brown dress shoe. Mr. McLennan wore navy blue slacks with a light blue long sleeve and brown dress shoes. Mr. Brown wore Khaki slacks and a plaid long sleeve shirt. Mr. Hall and Mr. Amalfi seemed as if they were in their 50’s, and Mr. McLennan and Mr. Brown seemed as if they were in their late 20’s. The main thing that surprised me would be the diversity of work they have done and how often they are pushing the boundaries of the construction industry. Each build is very unique, innovative, and holds characteristics of its own that allows each project to stand out. The main project that captured my attention and enthusiasm very quickly was the Exxon Mobil Campus which was extremely unique. It was a cubical with all walls made of glass, supported by two buildings sitting on each side.
