Porn, like any other form of entertainment, delivers some form of education but it can have some shallow messages that reflect our society’s fear of sexuality. Therefore, Nina Hartley as a sex worker tries to make porn fun and healthy rather than dismiss it as another form of entertainment, she understands that porn is there to ignite conversation and to expand our definition of pleasure instead of circumscribing them. Even though Hartley also mentions the social pressures that affect men, she mostly focuses on the way women’s sexual liberation is continuously debated by men, the government, and other women.
