“‘Harry -- yer a wizard’,”(50). Hagrid is the first person to tell Harry that he is a wizard. Throughout Harry’s life, strange things always happened to him and being a wizard finally explains why. I like this quote because I feel relieved for Harry that he finally knows how many things have happened. Also, it completely changes his life.

If there is one thing Voldemort cannot understand, it is love. He didn't realize that love as powerful as your mother’s for you leaves its own mark,”(299). Dumbledore tells this to Harry after saving Harry from Voldemort. His mother’s love continues to save Harry from Voldemort because it is so powerful. I like this quote because Dumbledore points out the power of love.
Summary
Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall meet outside of the Dursley’s home. A giant named Hagrid arrives with a baby, who is Harry Potter. They discuss how Voldemort killed Harry’s parents. Now, Dumbledore thinks it is best to leave Harry with the Dursleys who are Harry’s only remaining family.
Even though I have not experienced something similar, I realize it is a real issue with orphaned children being left with family that they do not know.
