Many times in literature and much of fiction, we see a trend of main characters whom have abandoned or dead parents. We see three relationships gathering and growing. The first being the relationship between the three friends. Harry, Ron, and Hermione have been through the entire school year together as a group and have seen and done things that have bonded them very tight together as friends. The benefits of this show increasingly as they help one another and ultimately save hogwarts. This idea of friendship and love is shown through this aspect as we watch so much good and strength come out of the three of theirs loving and powerful relationship. This relationship is defined from the first chapter. We know that voldemort killed harry 's parents and the readers hatred for him grows every time his name is spoken. As harry learns more about voldemort, he knows he must do something to forever end his actions. Meeting voldemort in the end gives harry so much pain that he can not bare it and faints. This correlation to life is so strong in this ending. Life has many horrible things that are terrifying. Sometimes in life, we fall and are beaten down, harry wakes up and heals and sets his mind to destroying voldemort once and for all. The same mindset is set to life and being knocked down only means we get back up swinging harder. The strong contrast between evil and good is prevalent throughout and it is only seen in its true form when voldemort is revealed evil can appear in many forms but it has a root and in this story that root is voldemort
