Meaning Of Always Essay

“After all this time?” “Always.” This saying is from Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 2 holds the most significant meaning to me. To tell you why this quote is significant to me, I must talk about the meaning behind the quote. The meaning behind “Always”, is that Severus Snape, the potions professor, is still in love with Lily Potter, Harry Potter’s mother. Then “After all this time” is from Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts, asking Severus Snape if he stills love Lily Potter after it being sixteen years since she was murdered. After this background of the quote, it might explain why this quote is significant to me. If not, here is why, I love the meaning under the word “Always”. This meaning is the love Severus has for …show more content…
Hermione Granger, a witch at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, went to the Yule Ball in her fourth year of school, meaning she was fifteen. Hermione really wanted her crush to ask her to the dance, but that did not happen, this happens to most girls. The crush’s name was Ronald Weasley, Harry Potter’s best friend. He was not going to ask Hermione until it was a last resort. By then Hermione had already said yes to Viktor Krum, a famous seeker. (A seeker is a player on a team in a game called quidditch.) Let’s say that the Yule Ball is prom, when that time comes around almost everyone is really hoping their crush will ask them to the dance. However, does your crush really ask you to the dance? For me it never came true. Therefore, I can relate to Hermione, because we both did not get to go to the dance with guy that we really wanted to. This means that this part of the Harry Potter movies is …show more content…
One of the biggest problems Harry Potter, the hero that saves the wizarding world, was dealing with was a male peer that bullied him almost twenty-four/seven. The bully’s name was Draco Malfoy, who was the son of a follower of Lord Voldemort. In my opinion, he was acting like he hated Harry Potter in the later movies because his father expects Draco to be just like him. These events have an underling meaning to them, that real people can connect with. The first one, that we can really connect to is a peer being a bully. For example, I was bullied a lot in my high school years from one of my male peers. Was the guy only bullying me because of his father? Most likely not, but I was still bullied almost every time he saw me, just like Harry Potter. Have you ever got into a situation just because someone expects you to be just like them? You do that one situation even though you do not want to be a part of it. This is not one of those good situations in real life, but they still happen. What goes on with Draco and his father reminds me of a friend trying to get the other friend to do something that is illegal. Most of the time, that friend still does the illegal thing, even though he or she does not want to because it is expected of them to be a cool

Some would say bullying is a negative topic that can be hard to stop. Bullying can be defined as “Repeated aggressive behaviours that are intended to cause harm to a victim with relatively less power to defend themselves” (Faucher et al. 112). It presents itself as an issue from an early age(such as Kindergarten or Pre-Kindergarten) all the way up to bullying even in the workplace (such as hazing or even cyberbullying). It is a problem that only worsens as the ages climb and can become even suicidal if it gets too severe.…

There are many types of bullying, but the two most common are physical and verbal. This means that a person will either use his or her body or words to make someone feel weak and hopeless. When conflicts arise, bullies use the same tactics to get what they want, even if it means hurting other people. Bullies rarely change their ways, much like Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby by F. My Definition of Ambition As a child growing up on the South-Side of chicago, I never really understood how people had the energy to stay in school and graduate or go to work each day. I honestly didn’t really think there was much after 8th grade, except for dead ends of life. In reality, I believed that there was no way for someone to achieve anything unless they we’re born into an environment where they were provided with the materials needed to get there. I also believed that the way you were born, whether you were born rich or poor, that’s the way you will live for the rest of your life. How many 12 year olds really think this way?…

The purpose of college, this question can be answered in many different ways. The purpose of college for some people might be to get a degree and move on into the next chapter in life, but I feel that college should be more than that. I feel that college should be a way to express yourself in ways you couldn’t before and to be able to explore new ideas and to shape yourself to become someone new. College for some people might seem like just another step in the never ending staircase of life, but to me college is more than, that it's shaping me into the person I want to become and shaping my life for what I want and who I want to be. The purpose of college is to find a source of happiness, whether that is a field of study a person or something else is up for you to…

As a young person, choosing what to study is one of the hardest decision you have to make. According to a Washington Post article, “What’s the purpose of college: A job or an education?” by Jeffrey J. Selingo, learning and getting more knowledge about the world used to be a purpose of higher education, but nowadays it switched to getting a job after graduation rather than gaining more knowledge. Education is the most important factor in order to be successful, but lots of people are in college because their parents want them to, while others think that college is the next destination they have to go through after high school. To me, college is the place that teaches us how to think, how to analyze things thoroughly and to pursue a good career…

To a certain extent, Aristotle is similar in his philosophy to Mill, Aquinas, and Kant, but now completely. He also believes in a universal good in order to achieve happiness in life. According to Aristotle, mortality and good is understood in terms of a whole life. Contrary to Mill, Aquinas, and Kant, that understand moral obligation in terms of human individual actions, instead of examining a whole lifetime. According to Aristotle “good” can be found in many forms.…

Bullying is most certainly not a new concept in our contemporary society, not by any measure. This problem has existed for a number of years, and in a great number of separate forms. However, no matter when it occurs or what form it takes, bullying is an issue that must be stopped. This is the very point that Lee Hirsch, director of The Bully Project, also known as Bully, is trying to make. Through the film, he hints at a number of different ideas that surround bullying and its existence, like the magnitude of the impact that it has, and that people consistently ignore the issue.…
