J.K.Rowlings view of a Hero Myth story has similarities and differences between a typical hero myths. A few of her similarities are with the upbringing of Harry Potter which who is the main character in the Harry Potter saga. He was born into a prestige family, but life was then change when his parents died and he became an orphan. Not only was he born without parents, but he had to grow up without any parental guidance. He was raised by parents who didn’t care for him or even help him in everyday life. Harry had nothing.

Harry is a classic hero because he is a character you want to see succeed. He has all the odds against him with nothing to lose which is usually how the writers presents heroes. He is the guy you root for in the finale fight scene in the movie.
