Analyiss of the Harry Potter and the philosophers stone
The storyline of the book
Book starts by telling about Harrys muggle(non-wizard) family for quite a while. In my opinion there was too much of it and most of it was totally irrelevant. Then some weird things start happening, shooting stars all over Britian and owls flying by daylight just to name a few. Finally our main character, Harry Potter comes onto the stage. Two legendary wizards and one goofy half-giant called Hagrid leave Harry to muggle familys door and leave. Then 10 years passes on the story and Harry has been misstreated by his muggle family. For example, he had to live in a cupboard under the stairs and he never got enough food to make him feel full. He is also getting bullied in school but everytime he is very scared he was able to teleport from his bullies, or some other

He is this weird looking giant with funny sounding accent and silly comments. He helps Harry and his friends in almost any object they face and is always ready for a cup of tea in his little hut nearby the school.

Then there is the Draco Malfoy
Harrys public enemy number one. He is coming from rich "pure-blooded" family and he is picking up on anyone who is not. He especially hates Harry and does anything to make his life Harded. Basically just a bully who thinks he is cool because of his roots.

Milieu
As someone who is not familiar with franchise i got to admit that milieue and way it was told suprised me. I could almost see myself standing in Harrys shoes and just watching how big and amazing the school was as he arrived. Milieu was told in a way that it got me inside the book but detailing did not take too much time from the story. I loved how Rowling made like two separate world, one for normal people and one for wizard people. That somehow made the story more beliveable and left me thinking how cool this would if it was

It was now the end of Harry Hames Moffer’s freshman year at Warthogpox High School. It had been an exciting year, if excitement meant that he had to leave his relatives behind and move to a town that didn't believe in childhood unless children were reading a book based on the life of a fictitious boy wizard. Harry also had to attend one of the worst high schools in the city of Wyvernwing, Pencilvarnia at that. Yet for all the negativity that the story had to offer, Harry managed to make two friends, namely the loser Pun Teasley and the obnoxious Hildegarde Lamer.…

From the call to adventure to the boon, a main character of a story often follows this traditional path on their journey of adventure. This proves to be no different for the renowned Harry Potter in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Letter after letter, the people of Hogwarts were desperately trying to get Harry to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.…

Nobody’s perfect. Perfection is a utopian quality that is far from realistic as it means “without fault or flawless.” Therefore, stating that nobody’s perfect is just another way of rewording the phrase everybody has their flaws. It’s hard to believe today that Walt Disney was once fired because he “lacked imagination and had no ideas,” or that the Beatles were cut from a record level because the company didn’t think that they had a future in show business. (Weismen) Still harder to believe is that J.K. Rowling’s world famous book ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ was rejected by no less than 12 publishers before it was finally published in 1997 at the insistence of Bloomsbury chairman, Nigel Newton’s daughter Alice. In the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the setting takes place in a magical world in London, England where the main characters attend a school named Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the film numerous characters and moments embody the theories Malory Nye point out in his book Religion: The Basics. Essentially, rituals and beliefs are prevalent in this film and the use of the theories can analyze such things. Examining Harry Potter using Arnold Van Gennep’s rites of passage, Edmund Leach’s theory of rituals and repetition, Claude Levi-Strauss’ ritualistic symbolism, and Malcolm Ruel’s definition of beliefs being “weak” and “strong” to convey that the aspect of the character’s lives basically comes down to the forming…

He did have many questions, reasonably so, but he outright refused the call. The closest he came to doing so was when he told Hagrid, “I think you must have made a mistake. I don’t think I can be a wizard”; this doubt which was quickly snuffed out when Hagrid responded by asking, “Never made things happen when you was scared or angry?”, which prompted the epiphany of Harry’s magic power (Rowling…
