As Ron pulled out his wand, determined to turn Scabbers yellow, the door their compartment was pulled open and a girl their age peered in. She had wild, frizzy hair and brown eyes, and her expression was slightly disdainful.
"Have you happened to see a toad?" She asked," A boy called Neville has lost one."
"Um, no?" Harry answered, slightly confused. The girl looked as though she was simply about to move on, but then she noticed that Ron had his wand out.

It was such an intense glare that the blond boy actually paled and stepped back, but then he recovered and quickly turned around, trying to find a new target.
His eyes rested on Harry.
