On March 24, 1874 in Budapest,Hungary a boy named Erik Weisz was born. He was born into a Jewish family with his father as a Jewish Rabbi, and had 6 brothers and sister as well.When he was thirteen years old he moved from Budapest to New York with his father,where he found a love for trapeze arts and magic.From then on he devoted his time to learning and mastering new tricks and dreaming of being on stage one day. Only a few years after Erik moved to New York,he decided to change his name to Harry Houdini after a famous French magician who had a similar name. Harry had to start off at the very bottom.
