The story Harrison Bergeron is based in the future, the year 2081 to be exact. The world has turned into a very equal place at least that is what everyone believes besides Harrison. The world is ruled by a Handicapper general by the name of Diana Glampers. The handicapper is the ruler, the one who turns people’s beauty into everyday normality’s. The only one to stand up for them is Harrison Bergeron and that results in his shooting and death on television.
Something that really stood out to me in this story is that everyone in the world is supposed to be equal do to the 211th, 212th, and 213th amendments. What caught me by surprise was that even though everyone is following the amendments, there is still someone of higher
