As seen in the short story “Harrison Bergeron,” Harrison is the age of fourteen, making it realistic that Harrison is very boastful, rude, and young; whereas, in the movie Harrison is in his twenties and possesses traits of being civil, mature, and the want to be understood. In the short story, Harrison introduces himself as the following: “‘I am the Emperor!’ cried Harrison. ‘Do you hear? I am the Emperor! Everybody must do what I say at once!’ He stamped his foot and the studio shook.” (104). In this quote, Harrison boasts very childish behavior when he shouts “I am the Emperor.” Harrison’s actions are also very dramatic because of his statement, “Everybody must do what I say at once.” By seeing Harrison behave in this manner, it does not give the audience an image of him that is likable, and instead gives the image that he is rude, and impolite.However, in the movie, Harrison is in his twenties which would cause the audience to listen to Harrison more compared to Harrison in the short story. Tuttle introduces Harrison as
