I think that the most deserving woman included in the book was Harriet Tubman. She was born into slavery, and being a slave is an extremely hard life. She persevered through, and eventually escaped. It would have been easy for her to enjoy her freedom and not help anyone else, but that is the opposite thing that she did. She made 19 trips back down to the Southern areas and freed over 300 slaves. She persisted, and once got a huge scar on her head when a heavy object was thrown at her. This shows that abuse on slavery plantations are common, and this also caused her to get frequent headaches.
