There is many people who were fighting for the rights of African Americans and their civil rights. Harriet Tubman was a slave she had almost no rights but yet won herself her freedom. She was a very brave woman who put her own like at risk for others.When Tubman ran away she discovered a hidden railroad. Ever she escaped she risked her life many times to help other slaves come into freedom also. She was very clever while doing this and never stopped even if she was wanted and many people looked for her to get a big money award. She never gave up and never let others around her give up either, she always said to them "You'll be free or die".
