Cesar Chavez and Harriet Tubman did have many differences but they also had many things alike. Cesar cared about people who were suffering and so did Harriet. However, Harriet was a slave, unlike Cesar. Cesar tried his best to help people who were suffering on low money that weren 't able to buy medicine, which is almost like Harriet because they both tried helping these people not die. Although, Harriet did more for other people’s freedom than Cesar Chavez because Harriet saved slaves at the same time other than Cesar Chavez who took a long time with his protest and at the same time he was protesting, people were still dying. Harriet Tubman was thought as “The moses of her people.” She is called this by many people because Harriet saved the slaves and gave them freedom from the working and suffering they were doing. As it says in her story, “Harriet Tubman was born to enslaved parents.” This shows that she was born a slave and lived as one too, unlike Cesar. He may have stopped the government from making diseased grapes but that took time. That issue stopped when Cesar Chavez were at his last years unlike Harriet who stopped slavery that was going on with more than 200 people. She not only saved them but kept going back to see if she can save more. As it says in Harriet 's story “Born a slave on Maryland’s eastern shore, she endured the harsh existence of a field hand, including brutal beatings.” Harriet lived as a slave and received major injuries from slavery which cause surgeries. However, Cesar Chavez did not. Cesar lived a life for helping farm workers and just fasted as his protest but he didn 't get as much suffering as Harriet did. This means that she got more pain and wanted to stop the slavery. Cesar just wanted to help farm workers which isn 't as important as slavery. Slavery is very hard and ends your life if you were caught as a slave.”She returned to the South at least 19 times to lead her family and hundreds of other slaves to freedom via the Underground
