Love is so powerful that it transcends all beliefs of what beauty is. True love is NOT just loving how the person looks, or how pretty they are, it goes way deeper than this. True love is when you love everything about the person. If you truly love someone, you will not stop loving them if their appearance changes or if the definition of beauty in this society says that they are not beautiful. You will love them no matter what. Rushdie uses Bolo and Batcheat to show this. Rushdie tells us that Batcheat is not considered the most beautiful Gup ever. This does not stop Bolo from loving her.
