By reading through the method they went through, the results that were concluded and the discussion I found out that they were wasn 't significant evidence to support the claim that physical fitness improves mental illness. ‘Meta-analytical analysis on the replication of the single experiments showed that the null hypothesis that fitness training is not effective in reducing depression and improving physical well-being could not be rejected.’
There is generalisation toward the results as each set of results were consistently similar.
Due to self- reported measures from the patients with depression who are doing fitness as a treatment component, it was inconclusive as to whether fitness training was effective in the reduction of depression and physical well-being in depressed patients.
This study was credible due to the extensive research and discussion that the numerous authors made. The article was published in 2003 so it is dated but the studies conducted gave me valuable information that aided me in concluding my

I sourced this article from the State Libraries databases.
This article involves an overview and in-depth analysis of the ways that physical fitness is measured and the types of benefits and disadvantages that participating in physical activities has.
It targeted towards individuals in the military and the types of fitness that they do to reach goals and maintain peak physical fitness.

Key findings:
Defining physical fitness - U.S department of health has separated physical fitness into two categories : health-related fitness and performance related fitness.
Performance related fitness refers to the fitness that is related to prevention of injury and the reduction of diseases
.Health-related fitness refers to the physical fitness that relates to achieving a goal.
Components of physical fitness: endurance, mobility, strength and flexibility.
