First and foremost, hyperbole was an element that was evident in each poem but was also unique in each poem. In the Halrm dancer mckay said “the wine -flushed, blod- eye boys and even the girls, devoured her with therie eager, passionate dgaze.” This test is nnot saying they actually eat her but they did starte her down with admaration. They eat her with their eyes. Something like what a halk does to his prey. In peom two Dove said “a wire running stright to heaven” there is not wire running to heaven but sine these island women no what they want noting can get in their way. In poem one lines 9-10 the poem says “upon her swarthy neck black, shiny curls, profusely fell; and, tossing coins in praise.“ From this image we know that the “harlem dancer” is a profmer a prefomer that people are in love with because theyh ate throwing money had her like they do ecsotic dancers.
