Hardship In Life Of Pi

Often times, individuals are placed within situations that prove to be tough and difficult to persevere through. Over the course of the novel Life of Pi by Yann Martel, Pi Patel’s account of being trapped aboard a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean accompanied by only a Bengal tiger is analyzed and at times questioned. The story is told through several points of view, creating an interesting contrast between Pi and his interviewers. The narrative structure of the novel aids in conveying the central theme of Life of Pi, how one must opt to believe their own “better story” in order to overcome hardship, through Pi's explanation of his ordeal to both the narrator and the Japanese

    i think that the interview with the Japanese transport ministers was interesting, it help to understand the two sides of the story.
