Hard Work Interview

Many things get looked over in life and hard working women happen to be one of them. I took the time to interview Kimberly Sanders who is also my mom, who has been a hard worker her whole life. I chose to interview her because I’ve never known the whole story of her working life. As a child, I just enjoyed the luxury of her money and not the work she put behind it. I wanted to know how long has she been working and what made her stay in an environment that is mostly male dominated. Also how hard was it being a working mother with four kids? During the interview, I found out many different things about Kimberly’s work experience that I would have never known if I didn’t ask. Some things weren’t as clear as others, but one thing was for sure, she had more passion for her job than anything. Kimberly is a hard worker who has worked with Boise Cascade for a short time but technically she has been working there for going on 18 years. The company has been bought out many different times and the name has changed at least 4-5 times, but Kimberly has always remained. The reason why it sounds complicated is because the company has been sold many times. The name often changes when the company is bought, and just recently the name was of the company was changed to “Boise Cascade.” She has basically grown up in the company starting at the age of 22. The idea of a working women in America should not seem as new as it does. There is a widely recognized misconception that women need to be cold-hearted and emotionally detached in order to be successful in their careers. This belief restricts the behaviors of aspiring businesswomen, making them feel like they need to fit the depicted mold of a “heartless bitch” and leave behind their true personality.…
