So I ran out there, and I slid out to block the ball. I thought she tripped on me and fell and rolled over me. Then, I was on the floor not breathing for a few seconds. It felt like a few seconds, but my parents said, “You were out cold for a few minutes.” Then an EMT came over to me and checked out my eye. They asked me my name, where I was, what day it was, then a few minutes later, they asked me to remember five things; I only got three out of the five. My mom told them, it takes her a while to remember all of them at once. Then they asked me again. I knew all of them. That night we went out to eat; I could not eat because my headache was so bad it was making me sick so nothing sounded good to eat, yet I knew I was hungry, but my body didn’t want me to eat. Then we went to the hotel and that was the worst night of my life because you are not allowed to sleep for the first twenty four hours. So every four hours my dad would wake me up and check my eyes because my eyes looked dilated. He said, “I will be fine the next morning”. We made an appointed with my doctor so I can get checked for a severity of my concussion.
After they were done, they told me I had a minor concussion. Later that week, I went to go see my doctor, and she told me that I could not do any physical activity for at least three weeks. To me, that was liked tough because my life was playing soccer and that also meant volleyball too. During those weeks, I felt like I was dying because all I could do was just sit and watch. It was driving me insane. After that day, I have been wearing a concussion helmet to prevent getting another concussion. I have been trying to prevent myself from getting another
