Happy Place

Have you ever seen the movie Happy Gilmore? It's basically about this hockey player who starts playing golf because he had a great drive. The problem with his game was that he didn’t know how to putt and every time he missed one he lost control, making his putting worst. Due to his awful putting his coach recommends that before he putts he goes to his Happy Place. His happy place is the thing Yoshino talks about, the location where one feels relaxed and one’s creativity flows. This area for me happens to be any classroom or locale where I feel secure. As soon as the class started, I knew it was going to be a great year. I knew this because I knew that when my English class ended in 9th grade I was comfortable with everything and the class had become my Happy Place. As soon as it started I was participating more and my grade was excellent. The teacher even told me how she liked this side of me she had never seen. My 12th grade English class ended up being the best one I have ever taken. From this experience with my English class I gathered two things, where my happy place is and where do I feel completely insecure. The spots where I feel insecure are the areas that I have never been to (for example new classrooms, new school or new living quarters). While the areas where my ideas flow are locations that used to make me insecure, but later I came to love. Basically what I am trying to say is that I have to get accustomed to a place before I can feel I’m ready to show my creative side. It’s true Yoshino does ask for a specific location, but I can’t give one, because I feel that anywhere your ideas flow is a Happy Place; and honestly there isn’t a fixed location where a person’s creativity
