“Happy” by Pharrell Williams is about being happy and following your own true emotions. The song was officially released on November 21st, 2013, It quickly got famous and was one of the top songs of 2013. The theme of happiness is used in many types of figurative language throughout the song.
The theme of happiness is shown in “Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof”. The line is telling you to be happy and clap along to the song. In “Sunshine she’s here you can take a break” it tells you to calm down,cool down, and be happy that sunshine is here. Lastly, in “I’m a hot air balloon that could go to space” it describes how happy he is and saying he could do anything.
