Happiness: The story of a truly happy experience as a consumer.

When I was 18 years old, I was depending most of the time of my family to take me to the places I needed to go. For that reason, I needed to have my own transportation, before starting studies at ECU University. I decided to take more hours in my job to save more money to buy a reliable car. My dream car is a Honda Civic, color gray and with a sports look. I prefer to buy and not to have a lease. My parents have a very strong brand loyalty towards Honda, because their cars are reliable, easy to maintain and durable.
I prepared a six months’ action plan to save money for my car. I was hoping for a new one but stayed open to a used car as my parents suggested. I did an internet

Then we arrived to Crown Honda. The lot was relatively smaller than the other dealers we had visited. A young salesman approached us and after introducing himself he asked what we were looking for and for what purpose we wanted the car. He has my first name so we kind of joke for a few minutes and then I gave him the details of what I was looking for. He actually made a recommendation of a few cars based on my needs and the amount of miles I was going to put on it just to get to ECU. He also stayed within budget. The colors they had available were not what I was looking for but he helped me understand that I needed to be flexible and stay focused on the purpose for what I needed the car. I wanted to buy a reliable car that was within my budget and on time to the start of the semester. He explained all the features in the cars we saw. I decided to examine in more detail a 2012 Honda Civic EX. It was within the mileage range I was looking for but still a bit over my budget but he talked with the Manager and I was able to get it for $12,500. They worked a great financing plan so I didn’t have to give as much money down as I had planned so, I used part of that money to by some seat covers and change the floor mats. They processed all the paperwork real fast but by the time everything was done it was long past 6:00PM. We went back home and I took my parents to dinner in my car. I was very grateful for their help and advice. They told me how proud they were since I worked hard to make the plan, stayed on track to save the money and bought a car that looks good and fills my transportation needs without going over budget. At the end this was a real great experience for me as a

Happiness is a word that is seen in a multitude of different ways by a multitude of different people. Everyone has their own idea of what happiness means to them, but it is a word that has no set definition. The author of “Happiness and Its Discontents”, Daniel Haybron views happiness as an entire emotional spectrum that is affected by several factors such as life satisfaction and being exposed to both pain and pleasure. Whereas Ed Diener and Robert Biswas-Diener the authors of “Can Money Buy Happiness”, describe happiness as the emotion someone feels when they obtain an object they believe will improve their life and can be acquired within their means. An example of this would be the joy someone might feel when they are able to buy a car…

I drove my first BMW when I was 20 years old; my boss at the time let me drive his E39 530i home. It was the most amazing thing I had ever drove and decided right then I must have a BMW once I made enough money to afford one. It was fast (to me), handled like it was on rails, quiet, comfortable, and everything a person who loves to drive could really ask for at the time; truly a “the ultimate driving…

Josiah, I liked the way you structured your introduction to your meaningful place, by juxtaposing it against conventionally sought tourist attractions and by painting a quaint, picturesque image using the details along Reesor Road. As such, the Robert Frost allusion fittingly contributes to the tranquil atmosphere with which Reesor Road is portrayed. A poignant point in your essay was when you mentioned that your family entrusting the Toyota for your utility resembles a rite of passage. How might this shift in faith as you enter emerging adulthood relate to parental expectations of your obligations as a young adult?…

By getting more pleasure out of life, becoming more engaged in what you’re doing, and finding ways to make your life more meaningful, Wells explains these actions can greatly influence your happiness levels. Savoring each and every sensory drop from any given moment will increase your gratitude towards life's seemingly mundane interactions.
